Task bar icon looks different after upgrade.

Today I upgraded from 5.0.462 to 5.0.507 and suddenly I find out that the taskbar icon for Avast! 5 looks different. Any ideas?

I see no difference, what do you mean.

Look carefully. The avast icon is a little out of colour. The clean orange sphere isn’t there anymore. Can this be a video card issue?

Hi Stra05, mine looks as before. I don’t know what can be causing
your icon issue, hopefully you ll get it fix soon.

I see what you mean, but it must be something on your system…
Have you changed the resolution, lately? It’s all fine here on 32bit colour-depth.

Well since we know nothing of your system as you haven’t created a signature with basic information. Since those that have responded don’t have the same issue, which is why I posted an image of mine and no different from before.

Another factor is OS if you happen to have win2k, but then you should have seen this in the earlier version icons also.

This is my icon Avast and I do not think that has ever changed with version 5 of our friend the problem certainly depends on the video card

Stran, this is how the icon looks like with reduced color depth.
E.g. over remote desktop.

Is your screen set up to use True color?

Maybe you are right Vlk, I have my Color Depth set to High Colour, but now I have changed it to True Color with 800x600 resolution, but it still looks the same. Do I need a reboot?

Topic Solved! Changed to True Color and rebooted, now all is normal. The clear orange Avast logo is spinning in the taskbar and I am happy.
