Taskbar icon not activated

Hi

My software details are as follows:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit; ZoneAlarm Pro 9.1.507.000 firewall; Avast free 5.0.594; Immunet Protect Plus; Malwarebytes Antimalware 1.46; ThreatFire 4.7.0.17

Avast installed successfully, including taskbar icon which I set to show icon and notifications. Recently, after a restart, the taskbar icon does not appear unless I open the program, when all is OK until the next restart. Looking through other topics I see reference to aswDisp.exe but this is not present in the Avast 5 folder. Has this been corrupted in some way or is it called something different in Avast 5?

aswDisp.exe is for version 4.
avastUI.exe is for version 5.

Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).

Thanks for your prompt response. Have carried out the repair and the taskbar icon is now present after restart.
