With the 120205-0 and the last 120205-1 definitions
I use Teamviewer all the time, and today I Avast told me that it blocked “win32:Malware-gen” I thought teamviewer was trusted software? My question can this be a false pos?
It appears that this one has slipped though with the FP fixes. (I also get the detetion on 120205-1)
Submitted via the chest.
Please report a possible FP here: http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles

can someone tell me where i can find the log files in avast? I am trying to report this as a FP but it wants me to upload a file. the win32:Malware-gen file, I can’t find it in my teamviewer program directories and if I can find the logs in avast then I can get to the path.

Try updating first. as reported above, 120205-2 should fix it.
I will assume that it was the File System Shield:
Open avast → Real Time Shields → File System Shield → Shield Log (bottom right)
That will show the path of the teamviewer file that you have.
Depending on your settings, it may have also been sent to the chest.
oh wow i found the Win32:Trojan-gen in mine too >:(
