I have installed Avast Distribution Network Manager on our SBS 2003 server with 22 workstations deployed. We have installed the demo version. Things seem to be working great. Our local reseller has been awesome with support and returning phone calls during our initial installation this week.
We were using Trend Micro for the last 4 years and it appears that we have already seen a performance gain in moving to Avast. I really like Avast after getting more familiar with it.
It still sort of concerns me that there is no corporate phone support available, just email and forum. We are a small non-profit business and if there was a problem with the software and we were not able to get in touch with our reseller, it would be very difficult to support and troubleshoot on our own. We just have volunteers supporting our computer system. One considersation driving most of our decisions on software is support.
**Can anyone help to reassure me we are making the right decision in light of the lack of phone support based on their experience?
