When shutting down Azureus (Vuze) Avast 4 starts making thousands of temporary files in C:\WINDOWS\Temp_avast4_
This gradually fills up my hard drive, Not to mentions slowing my system down.
the file responsible for this is ashServ.exe, And uses up about 50% of my system resources.
Help!!!
Hmmm… seems that avast P2P module is trying to scan the downloaded files and as they’re changing all the time, they’re being recursive scanning.
Well, could Azureus (Vuze) be configured to use ashQuick.exe at the end of the downloaded file only?

Disabled the p2p part of the prog and the problem has gone. Just have to remember to do a scan with everything i download before opening.
Hope they take a look and the problem does not come back on avast 5…
Doesn’t Azureus not have an option to scan with your AV in its settings ?
If so this is what you should enter, C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe, that way you don’t have to remember ;D
Been through all of the setting’s, Nothing there about anti-virus check’s.
A pity… you’ll have to scan the downloaded files after the download finishes.
