see screen shot, that lasted a minute or so and then went back to normal automatically + note that the alert was wrong, ie all shields were always on.

I had some weird things happen on my upgrade too after reboot, but not this. Once I rebooted again I was fine. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=76488.msg635360#msg635360. I guess we were lucky. ;D
no it hasn’t happened again… yet. This bug was already present, off and on, in older builds.
I notice this happened to you after updating virus defs to 110420-1 - that is one after the faulty 127.0.0.1 virus db… might be connected?
no I don’t think so… this happens generally after a new install, during one of the first reboots, and my current AIS install is recent.
