Here: http://stealthtests.lockdowncorp.com/ you can test the security of your browser, and see what it gives away while you surf the net. Can they see your MAC address or are you vulnerable?

all the tests display my ISP address :'(don`t understand, i am using a firewall!
Your IP address will be shown, this is I feel a scare tactic to get you to buy their programme. Fine so someone knows your IP big deal as long as you are up to date on patches, have a firewall and a good Avast sorry antivirus then where is the problem. If you have a static IP and turn off your protection then of course you will be at risk… Plus the web site needs to know your browser type 'cos FF is different to IE
Edit IE7 blocks the HTA exploit
I agree totally with you there!
Mikey
The only thing it keeps harping on about is the IP address this the IP address that, it found nothing else with firefox.
The IP address is not a critical issue (if it were then I believe someone would have done something about it before now), yes people will know your IP address, your ISP, etc.
They have to have tricked you into linking to a web site that retreives the IP address for malicious purposes and not the ligitimate purposes used by ligitimate web sites. They have to use this IP address information to try to connect (gain access) to your computer and if you have a good firewall that should stealth or block this kind of intrusion you have little to worry about.
