hello how do i test the avast 4.7 home edition’s web sheild? to see if its working

Maybe I mistake, but web shield run only on Pro version. You can try the 6 days evaluation trial… I think after you see all features of Avast! Pro, you’ll buy it immediately!!!

Web Shield is also available in avast! Home Edition.

sorry!!! … next time i rest in silence… I buyed Avast! Pro without try home version first, because I knew it by the PC of one my friend… Now i think “The Avast! guy are really MAGNANIMOUS!” ;D

Hi,

just go there http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm. It’s the EICAR- Test- Virus.

Scroll to the bottom and download the Test- Virus. Avast! should abort this connection now .

You can test it here:

Use ZIP test file. If you get warning window with Terminate connection button it’s working fine.

There will be no avast! 4.7. It’s not official,but one of the Alwil team said that they will be working on avast! 5.0 with major improvements in detection area (in functionality area they are nearly the best).
