Many thanks for all the advice.
Trojan removed and all is well.
It was intimidating when I found out I had a Trojan since I’ve heard they can be extremely nasty. Again a newbie, I really don’t know.
By any chance does anyone know what WIN32:SdBot-gen44 does ?
Again Many Thanks.
No problem, glad I could help.
Sorry this sdbot detection is not a specific piece of malware with a specific task, as there are many variants with slight differences. In this case the -gen44 suffix indicates I believe a generic signature detection so it effectively looks like the sdbot family/characteristics generally they try to open a backdoor into your system. See http://www.ca.com/us/securityadvisor/virusinfo/virus.aspx?ID=12411 for some general information on the sdbot family.
