This program is simply awesome. I’ve been hammered lately with over 1,000 infections of different sorts over the last few days. I’m not sure why as I do very little surfing. Anyway, this is the first vscan that has the ability to scan the system before Windows starts. Believe me I’ve tried a lot of vscan programs but this one is the only one I’ve found that does that. I will be buying the pro edition soon.
That having been said I have a question and I’m not sure where it goes exactly. I’m using XP, Internet Explorer. I don’t have SP2 installed as it doesn’t seem to like my computer much.
I’m on a cable internet connection.
My problem is that (I rund a message board just like this one) when I click on e-mail links to the board or click on e-mail links in programs (the ones in yoru program to register didn’t work either), my I.E. just gives me a blank screen with the internet toolbar at the top. I have to click many times to make it work. I can’t do that in programs.
I thought it was some kind of spyware or something but I’ve been cleaning and deleting for 3 days now and it still doesn’t work…any ideas?
Thanks,
Ona Hardy
Do you mean that when you click a link you just get a blank screen?
After all avast! scanning, are you clean?
Do you have SpyBot and Ad-aware to be sure you’re spyware clean too?
Post a little more about your system, for instance, do you have a firewall, etc.
Welcome to avast forums! 8)
No, can’t make a firewall work. It creates all kinds of problems and most are not compatible with Incredimail.
I have a pentium processor and as much memory as I could cram into my system.
I have been scanning with spyware programs, adware programs, everything I could find (the blank screen problem has been going on for awhile). After all of that Avast found more in the first scan. I can’t gurantee anything, but I’m surely clean by now. I can do more scans…
Yes, I get a blank screen. Nothing else. If I open the board first and then click on the link it’s fine but if I click on it without opening the board first it won’t open like it should. I have to keep clicking and clicking to make it work.

P.S. Just downloaded the two programs you mentioned. Will be doing more scans.
