Avast! 4.8 was a darling in the field of Free Antivirus. It tackled and finally won the Gold from Avira. But still it was critisized for it’s not-so-familiar interface.

Came January 2010, came Avast! 5.0, a whole new revolution! Avast made a brilliant change to the interface.
P.S.: Avast! 5 made me change from Avira and VIPRE to Avast! Personally I recommend Avast! 5.

Now you have to prove wether you are a true 4.8 user or a loyal 5.0 user. Are you a person who looks deep into Alwil’s products or is just an Avast fanboy. Come all and join this poll to crown the best Avast! product of the decade!

We all love avast 4.8,5 and what ever the numbers but every generation has its good and its bad for 4.8 and 5 the 5 generation is better with new technologies new virus database structure new…thats what we need and what we will recommend,i have 4 pcs but i love a lot one of them the old 1 GB ram p4 3ghz one of them but the truth its brother are more powerful than that pc ,it is the difference between love,passion,logic"sorry but love may corrupt my mind data"

This poll is not useless to some extent. I want your opinions on which version of Avast you like the most. I know it 3will be an easy win for Avast! 5 but if it does’nt score above 85%, then I will have to admit that people out there still use older versions of Avast and are satisfied with it. You can see that Avast! 4.8 has already recieved 3 votes which is not less in comparison of the popularity of Avast! 5. I have also added new options to the poll, please check out!

Avast! 5 ahead by 28 votes. ;D Avast! 4.8 has 4 votes to itself. :slight_smile: Avira has only 3 votes to it’s name. :wink:

There is no point in voting for any version of avast before 4.8 since they are no longer supported and can not update the virus database. Later this year, 4.8 support will also be stopped.

So, there is really only one avast version to be voted on. :wink:

I have removed the option “I prefer other older versions of Avast” from the poll.
Avast! 4.8 is slowly catching up to Avast! 5.
