I think you can execute http://cat.asw.cz/~vlk/AvBatEx.bav from your TheBat! directory and then select avast plugin in bat’s antivirus settings…
The Bat! can use avast the same way each other email client can, through the internet mail shield. Another option is the plugin capabilities of the bat! You have to download the plugin, copy it to the bat! directory (or plugin dir whatever you want) and activate it through the bat! options screen plugin - antivirus. That way the bat! will call the virus scanner for each incoming and outgoing email without using the internet mail shield proxy.
