As of beta 15 of The Bat, I get errors in the log stating it can not start the anti-virus plugin. I will post this problem at the bat beta forum as well, but maybe you can look into it also.

I was going to suggest that you do a forum search as this has come up very recently only to find that you have a thread about this already - http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=2549.0 - please stick to that thread to avoid confusion and duplication.
The thread you mention is from March 2004 !! Until I posted in it some minutes ago (because I thought it was a recent thread).
He is probably on version 3 of TheBat by now and not on a version 2 Beta …
That was a completely different case, which has been resolved already… I have the problem with the latest bat version 3 beta version.

Sorry in my search for something about problems with The Bat plugin I found your earlier (much earlier) thread and thought it may be a similar or return of the same problem.
No problem. This is another problem, I believe the bat is to blame, but you never know who thinks of something…

Hi, thanks for report, problem is with installation of plugin in Bat! version 3+. Bat! internally changed path where it expects plugin (but avast! didn’t know about that change ;-( Fix of that problem will be in the next program update (during this week). Hotfix is simple: add avast! plugin in TheBat! manually (list F:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\AvBatEx.bav file). thanks! pavels
