I have AVAST! 4.5 Home on WIN2k SP4 and The BAT! 3.0.1.33 Mail client.
I activate Avast! plugin in The BAT! to automaticaly erase all infected attachments(in properties of The BAT and scan arhives in plugin). But unfortunately, two days ago, in some letters I’ve got Win32:Beagle-AW.
AVAST! fined it but didn’t clean auto. I try to scan and clean it manualy in The BAT! special option (folder-scan for viruses). Avast fined this virus again, but didn’t clean it again. What can I do to make it work?
Sign of “Win32:Beagle-AW [Wrm]” has been found in “C:\DOCUME~1\KHASS\LOCALS~1\Temp\BATA7A.tmp” file.
Yes, it works!
I set on-access scanner in normal mode, and now it isn’t scan *tmp files and The Bat! plugin works correctly. But in some times, viruses may be in *tmp files (i remamber, Nimda could to go in *tmp files to shared folders in local network). So, I write this:
C:\DOCUME~1\KHASS\LOCALS~1\Temp\BAT???.tmp
in list of excluded areas in on-access scanner options, and set it in “high”.
