Alas, it was not enough, now it seems to stall on crcdisk.sys :-X

Got the disk in a USB dock and renamed 2 files; pcmcia.sys and a related one.
After that the disk booted again.
Got rid of the rest Avast and installed MSE.
It’s doing an update now, fingers crossed and God help me. :stuck_out_tongue:
