I upgrade my avast to avast internet security , the firewall won’t work?
what can I do to solve this problem

Controlpanel > ad/remove program > avast > uninstall > repair option…wait a minute and reboot
any change?

Nouf if you still have problems with AIS,remove AIS with Avast Removal tool in safe mode.
How to remove Avast AV?

-Go to safe mode
-Run aswclear.exe and follow instruction
-Restart PC
-In normal mode,run Rejzor Avast Cleanup Tool

-Download latest version of AIS (8.0.1489) http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
-Install AIS
-Restart PC
-Apply AIS licence
-Enjoy with AIS.

This error message is usually associated with virus definitions update package, and the ‘Please use full update’ it refers to is to download the full virus definitions update - you can try that, but it may not resolve the other firewall issue, which could mean a corrupt installation. This may need a clean reinstall of AIS.
- avast! Virus Definitions Update - Manual Download VPS Update (virus definitions, vpsupd.exe, approx 93.4 MB). - Save the file to your hard disk, locate where you saved it and double click it and that should carry out the virus definitions update.

Yes a reinstall was the next step if the avast! Virus Definitions Update - Manual Download didn’t work.
It would be best to do a clean reinstall, as outlined in JuninhoSlo’s Reply #3 above.
