The Home Protection of my Free Avast4 Home Edition it turns off!!!

Hi,
I have proceed like the instrutions told me to, step by step. When the program finish the Authomatic Scan to the computer the Home Protection of the program turns off and don´t stay on!! I choose the Normal Mode Protection and when i see again the state of the protection, it´s off!
What can i do in this situation to have my computer free of viruses? I need to be on the net…

We will need more information to be able to help you:

  • Which OS are you using? Is it up to date?
  • What avast! version and VPS file (virus database) number?
  • Do you use a firewall? Which one?
  • Do you have any other antivirus installed in your system?
  • Any other security programs that could interfere?
  • Any useful information into Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Events, specially ‘Errors’.

Check your computer for Malware with

Malwarebytes Antimalware http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
after install click UPDATE and run cuick scan, click on REMOVE SELECTED to quarantine anything found

Are cookies really spyware and are they dangerous?
