The Master Agent is Offline after starting a Deployment

We’ve just started using Avast Business Pro for our school’s desktop computers and I’m managing via the web console (business.avast.com). I’m getting the “Master Agent is offline” message several minutes after initiating a new deployment. I’ve confirmed that the master agent computer is in fact online. We are in an Active Directory environment (the master agent is actually also our domain controller). Any suggestions?

There’s a few initial things you can try…

  • Please verify that all required ports are open in all firewalls between the Master Agent device and the Cloud Management (web) Console at https://business.avast.com/ (please see Avast Business Management Console Setup Guide for more information)
  • Restart/reboot the Master Agent device (after business hours, since it’s also your DC)
  • Stop/Add the Master Agent services on the Master Agent device from the Cloud Management (web) Console at https://business.avast.com/ (please allow several minutes to deactivate and reactivate the Master Agent services)
