The resident protection doesn't start !

Hello,

I updated my Avast to the 4.7.844 version yesterday, and this morning my resident protection doesn’t work, even if I start it manualy. :-\

Which one of the resident scanners ?
Are you getting any errors/warnings reported, if so what are they ?

What OS are you using and what avast processes are running they begin with ash or asw ?

Or do you mean there is no avast icon in the system tray ?

I seem to be seeing that too. Someone told me how to make the balls show up in the task tray but I don’t seem to be getting any automatic updates either. I’m running windows 64 bit. I’m also having a hard time getting a couple of things to load (can’t get kerio personal firewall going either).
