The stub cannot run installer/updater executable

Hi everyone!
I have a Win10 pro with Avast free edition, after i uninstalled this version (using window uninstaller) for install internet security version, but i cannot install, if i try to install I get the error:" The stun cannot run installer/update executable ‘C:\Users.…\AppData\Local\Temp_av_iup.tm~a09268\instup.exe’ (code 0x10b)"

The same error with aswclear.exe in safe mode.

Any idea how to solve the problem?

  • OS… (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

i used newest Avast version, just downloaded yesterday. I use win 10 pro 64bit version 1709 and just used window defender before install Avast free edition

  1. Download Avast Internet Security: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_internet_security_setup_offline.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

I did this way 3 times but it has same error like when i install any avast version :frowning:
