I downloaded The Suffering (free game) from Gamershell.com and avast is detecting Win32:JunkPoly when I try to start the game. This is an ad supported game which is why it’s free so I think avast is picking up the ads in the game. I uploaded the file to virustotal and here are the results: http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/306acad9335e14376006f229ca2a0748 . I had a similar thread a while back about avast detecting the ads is PsiOps-The Mindgate Conspiracy (see here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=36474.0 ). Last time I was asked to email a zipped copy of the suspected file so let me know if I should do that again. Thanks.
If it is indeed a false positive, which it certainly seems, yes send a sample to avast,
see http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=34950.msg293451#msg293451, how to report it to avast! and what to do to exclude them until the problem is corrected.
Thanks for the quick reply DavidR. I just sent the email. For now I’ll add the file to the exclusions list of the standard shield.

Welcome and thanks for reporting.
You’re welcome.
Hopefully it will be quickly rectified, periodically scan a copy in ght chest when it is no longer detected you can remove the exclusions.
