6 MBits down and 0.5 up…
No we are not…
Whilst this might be the case, those with cr4p download and upload speeds will still lag greatly. There are still a lot of NOT spots, where broadband is either very slow or not available. My living in a village 9KM from the nearest telephone exchange/switch/hub.
Up until 16/9/2010 I was still on dial-up under the theoretical 56Kbps max, then I got broad band over the copper telephone. That was a massive difference but still low around 2Mbps down and about 65Kbps up.
Around two years later fibre optic cable was laid to the street cabinets, so the last bit was still copper cable and about 18Mbps download and upto 2Mbps upload. Year by year it has been improving to my latest deal with a maximum of up to 75Mbps download and 18Mbps upload.
A world of difference from some but even that is slow for others.
Have 60 / 60 fiber, will be upgrade to 100 / 100 in 2018
Cellphone network, have not tested for a long time but it is quick.
I mostly use my phone as a phone, so only need that speed when i use it as a wireless router for my laptop

Maybe the result in the screenshot will be higher if i connect with cable?
That is sad, at one time I would have been very happy with that.
Do you live in a rural location ?
Not really this is a village and next town (11 kilometers) they have 100 MBit lines…
Even a 500 peeps villain around here has 50 MBits its a joke that mobile broadband is faster than DSL and it will only get worse.
Our ISP seems to want to upgrade to 50 MBits here but right now the website doesnt say anything planned for our area.
