Their needs to be a way to disable avast with out uninstalling it just to start a video game.
normally their is no problems unless they update too much of the game then avast freaks out blocks up dates and corrupts the game modules so it wont run.
adding the game to exclusions does not work either.
avast attacks it any how.
calling support is like talking to your self in a mirror.
this has been a problem for several years now.
We add new shit when your existing shit does not work right avast ?

What area of the exclusions are placing them in? settings/antivirus/exclusions is the global area to exempt from all shields.

Please watch your language as this is an open forum frequented also by minors.

yes that is where i put it

the program in question is a video game called fiesta NA
it has many components in the file. C:\Gamigo\Fiesta Online NA
and avast likes to attack it if they update too much of the game.
and at this point i am way past sick and tired of well avast should …
I do not care what it should or should not be doing I have not have time for this bs.
Unless people from avast want to come here and take care of the animals at this shelter I do not have time for it.
I need to be able to completely disable avast when i need to and not allow it to keep screwing up every thing it can.
If avast was able to be programmed to not mess with this game I would not be here now.

Have you tried right clicking the avast ball and disable all shields?

LOL no I did not see that listed as a option and since I had to uninstall avast I can not look to see if it is their.
right now while I am reinstalling the game and re up dating it I have no anti virus and like I said this is not the first time avast has caused this issue.
So I went up stairs and saw that under avast shields control on the laptop.
which is the only pc able to enter the game at the present time, which reminds me why is this only a issue on desk top computers and not the laptops ?
avast should run the same on each since they all have or had the latest version of avast but it does not seem to run the same.
which is to say on the laptops it does not herrass the game the same as it does on the desktops and i did not add the game to exclusions like i did on this gaming server.

Not sure why you get different results between different systems unless you have changed any of the settings, results could possibly vary between XP and later versions of windows due to XP being very different in it’s make up and no virtualisation capabilities.

The laptops both run vista 32 bit, the 1 gaming server runs vista 64 bit and this one is windows 7 64 bit.
I looked in the laptop and their is nothing listed in exclusions.
