I have written several requests. I have tried calling, but the number they gave me led to a scammer who wanted to take over my computer. They have overcharged me and continue to. I will seek legal assistance, but I wanted to check if anyone else has had this issue.

What Avast Product are you using and is it a 30/60 day trial ?
You should be able to cancel your subscription.
