This Firefox version runs Flash in a separate process...crashbug added!

Hi malware fighters,

A brilliant idea Flash that runs separately from the rest of the browser can downloaded here:

https://developer.mozilla.org/devnews/index.php/2010/03/03/mozilla-developer-preview-now-available-with-out-of-process-plugins/

So whenever Flash will crash the whole of the browser is not taken down as well. Actually a lot of plug-ins could run separately or just look at the GoogleChrome browser where every window runs separately as chrome.exe.
A proof of what we mean can be experienced through this crashbug: http://flashcrash.dempsky.org/
Mind you visiting this will immediately take your Flock or Firefox browser down, it will crash period.
GoogleChrome won’t crash on it just gives a message that Flash has experienced an error…
it almost seems that Flash is viral…

Great another wasted services in the background. ::slight_smile:

I very much like the look of something like this, that isolates various “problem-child” processes.

Thanks for the info.

Hi Tarq57 and harman123,

Look here, my good friends, the patch is out there in a beta version but that version is not officially being provided by Adobe for download.
Read this here: http://mac.blorge.com/2010/02/22/has-adobe-patched-dempsky-flash-bug/
So there is a beta version out that is patched against the Dempsky bug, but that is unknown to the users in general and is not forwarded as an official download by Adobe’s. Why they do such a thing? If this is not insecurity through obscurity, what is?
