THIS IS A BIG ISSUE I HAVE WITH SHUTING AVAST DOWN!!!

Ok so i have this big problem. For some reason antivirus programs think that they can take complete control of you computer by not giving you an option to shutdown the antivirus. I have looked all over the web and a lot of people seem to have the same problem. I use to have norton and i bought it but uninstalled it like 2 days after. I did this because they did not give me control over my computer. I belive that this is my personal computer and if i want to shutdown my antivirus then i should be able too. Now i notice that a lot of the virus people that chat in forums say that there is no reason to shut it down well your wrong. There are alot of reasons to shut it down if you are using your computer to the fullest. I liked avast in the past because when a threat came up it gave me an option of what to do with it. Now in the new one i set it to ask what i want to do with threat but it dont give me an option to allow it. If there is away for you to allow it the please tell me and im sorry for all this. But if there is not then i ask if you can make it posible. I know it sounds stupid but if i want a sertain threat to come into my computer then i should have the option to let it in!

Why bother with an Antivirus Program or a firewall at all ??? All they do is slow you down. Sounds like you enjoy running an infected system ??? If that's the case, avast! certainly doesn't want to contribute to it and therefore takes the position to protect your system. Allowing your system to get infected on purpose only gives avast! a bad rap. :o

Maybe Bitdefender or ClamWin is the one for you, On demand only

I agree it was more convenient in the past to have the option of allowing copying or downloading a file flagged by Avast, especially known false positives or eicar test virus files. The workaround is easy though: choose Block and temporarily disable the shields control. That’s not quite as safe as allowing one known safe operation, but it’s safe enough. (Especially since Avast has never detected real malware on my computer. But that’s not due to a fault in Avast. I practice safe hex.)

Hey Sales,

Your days are numbered
