ie 8
sas free/pro
a2 free
pc tools firewall plus
dcom closed.
all system protected by (deep freez 6.0)
this is secure ?
Are you using avast on that system? If so, seems ok (firewall + antivirus + on-demand 2nd opinion scanner).
I suggest the use of Firefox with NoScript instead of IE8.
I don’t have a problem using IE8.
Neither do I. It was just a suggestion 
imho, a safer and more comfortable browsing experience.

Welcome to the Avast forums. There is a consensus on the forum that SAS and MBAM are the best anti-malware programs. A-squared is often accused of too many false positives.
I can only strongly agree with the above post that Avast is a must on your system. SAS and MBAM are not anti-virus program substitutes. I use all three programs myself and am extremely satisfied with their performance.
Tech is one of the experts on this forum so I would strongly heed his wise words about Firefox and Noscript. Another expert, Polonus, is also a strong advocate of AdBlock Plus to remove advertisements whilst browsing.
However the ultimate choice is up to you Hya. But the experts including Tech, Polonus, DavidR, Bob3160, Marc57 and Rejzor always offer invaluable and sound advice.
I myself am not an expert so please note that my advice is only an opinion. But following the advice of some other users on this board… beware false prophets!!

I can say i didnt got at all of what u said but im still protected its didnt take like 100000 programs to be protected but i can agree u can add some more program 
Basic protection is Anti Virus,Anti Spyware,Firewall and yes the Windows thingy too like UAC,Auto Update…

I also like Spywareblaster. It helps protect against Spyware and uses no resources.
