Hi, I’ve recently bought a new phone and both are registered to Avast mobile security. I have just been online to sell my old phone to one of the many recycling companies in the UK where I had to enter the IMEI number. I want to reset the old phone but when I have turned it on, it’s playing the siren and thinks it has been stolen. I’ve been into the Avast security control panel and tried to reset it remotely, but it cannot connect to it (the old SIM no longer is valid, but the WIFI is working fine).

Any ideas how I can connect to it or wipe it?

Slight update, the phone is not connecting to the wifi. I’ve tried to select my home wifi, but the password has been lost from the phone, and I can’t input it quickly enough before the siren kicks in. Also, because there is no sim card in the phone, I can’t get it to send the SMS!
