I have this Avast facility working on my computer and my wife would like to turn it on on her laptop. How does she do this?
What do you mean avast “facility”?
Which version of avast; Free, Pro, AIS or Premier?
If Pro, AIS or Premier how many licenses and what type of license?
If you are speaking about the Free version all you have to do is download, install and register.
I think the OP is speaking of the avast on-line security add-on for browsers ?
We both have Avast pro and I am talking about the green ‘signal’ which pops up when you google something. If you hover over the green thing, a green square then comes up saying ‘This site is safe’ I have Vista and my wife W8.
No, I believe blowtorch73 is talking about the Avast Browser Security and Web Reputation Plugin. Offering protection against known phishing and malware sites.
Sorry DavidR, I did not see your post about the Avast Browser Security Add-on
This is what I am referring to:

Sorry. I did some searching and had to change my security settings on my computer for the check marks to appear.
Security set at High, will not allow the check marks to appear, at least it did not allow me on my computer, once I changed my Security settings to Default, the check marks were seen on the sites.
Please check if the Internet Explorer advanced settings.
Steps
- Open IE10 - Not sure if you are using IE 10, whatever IE browser you are using will still work
- Under Tools click on Internet Options
- Look for the Advanced tab
- Scroll down the settings items and look for Enable Third-Party browser extensions. Make sure that this is checked.
- Restart IE10, do a search and check if its working.
