Recently one of the profiles on my laptop has been getting Avast Threat Detected pop-ups as soon as Chrome is opened then every few minutes afterwards. I've also seen it a couple times when the browser has already been closed.
The aswMBR log is refusing to save to the desktop for some reason and keeps trying to attach as a shortcut which won’t work.
I’m sorry to hear about your problems. Could you please read this post here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 and attach the other logs for the malware removal specialist. I realize you can’t post your aswMBR log, and this could be related to your problem, but please try and post your other logs.
After posting, do not make any changes to your machine or use a USB stick. If you are on a network, disconnect from the network. Do not sync this machine with any devices either. A malware removal specialist will review your logs after you post them. Thank you.
I did attach the other three logs though, and they’re still showing that they’re attached on my previous post.
I’ll attach them again just to be sure. Also managed to get the aswMBR log figured out! (It saved to the wrong profile desktop.) So that’s now attached as well.
Save this as fixlist.txt, in the same location as FRST.exe
Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that
THEN
Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
[*]Close all open programs and internet browsers.
[*]Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
[*]Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.
