Hello,
I have Google chrome 64 bit and when I try to play any movie on Youtube I always get a threat detected warning from Avast. In the Avast’s web page for Threat details it tells something like the following:

I have the same problem. Checked the extensions, cleaned the cache and it’s still like that. Any solution?
Did you run a full system scan of Avast and Malwarebytes Antimalware Free Edition?

Same here, since yesterday.
Nothing detected with Avast en Malware Antibytes.
Try this https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
I will inform a malware expert to look into this. It will take some time due to time zones.
The other thing you could do is to re-install google chrome and install the (32-bit version). See if that helps! Also try doing the repair of avast via add/remove.

Isn’t this looking more like a false positive than an infected PC or other problem with Chrome or Avast?

It’s something else.
I found this topic on the avast forum: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=160643.msg1152633#msg1152633
I too used the Extension Open SEO Stats(Formerly: PageRank Status).
Disabling that stopped the threat detection in YouTube…
