Threat detected - s.vb3k.com/crossdomain.xml -MBAM log included

Hello! I’m new to posting so if I’m not following a standard protocol, please correct me/link where the rules are so that I can comply.

Every 20 minutes or so, Avast is popping up telling me that a threat has been detected, specifically

Threat detected - s.vb3k.com/crossdomain.xml

I’ve run a full scan with Avast and no malware was found. I’ve seen a couple other postings with the same problem, but noted that the fix was computer specific.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

see instructions here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
run Malwarebytes and Farbar Recovery Scan Tool as instructed, then attach the logs

Thank you! I’m attaching the MBAM and Farbar logs.

Now you wait for a malware expert to take a look … it may take some time, be patient

Could you let me know if this stops it

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

CreateRestorePoint: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer: Policy restriction <======= ATTENTION C:\ProgramData\SetStretch.exe C:\ProgramData\SetStretch.VBS EmptyTemp: CMD: bitsadmin /reset /allusers

Save this as fixlist.txt, in the same location as FRST.exe

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/73555776/FRSTfix.JPG

Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that

THEN

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

[*]Close all open programs and internet browsers.
[*]Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
[*]Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

I saved the file and ran fix, but there wasn’t a log generated, it restarted my computer. Did I do something wrong? Sorry, I’m super new to this…

Nope, there should be a fix log next to the FRST icon, is it there ?

Are you still getting alerts ?

Oh! I’m attaching it. I haven’t gotten an alert in awhile, should I still proceed with AdwCleaner?

Thanks so much for your help!

Yes proceed with AdwCleaner just to remove any remnants that I missed

Here’s that log:
