I keep getting this pop up notifying that the File System Shield has blocked a threat . As you can see in the attachement, it surprisingly points to the Dropbox process, and the object is a different temporary file each time, located in the Dropbox Cache Folder.
I found a similar topic in french on this forum and it seemed to me that there was some of agreement that it was a false positive. Still I’m not an expert on this matters and I would apreciatte a little bit of guidance.
You can use mail
send to virus@avast.com in a password protected zip file
mail subject: False Positive / undetected sample (select subject according to your case)
zip password: infected
Just some questions: Are all these tips (Upload files, use mail, post a topic in the right section, send files from Avast chest) different ways to do the same? Or should I pick one of these options according to the situation I come across? In case it is the second, which of them is the one that would work best for me now?
the first two is the prefered… first option also have some additional options under the subject tab
however if the file is detected and removed to chest you may not be able to restore it as avast may detect it again, but then you have the chest option
