'Threat has been detected' frequently popping up, svchost.exe?

Hi all,
Getting very frustrated with my PC. Getting very frequent ‘threat has been detected’ pop-ups, with ‘svchost.exe’ seeming to be on all of them.
I get the pop-ups only when connecting to the internet - once I’m online, I don’t tend to see them often (although they do occur in groups of 3-4). But whenever I connect, I get bombarded with about 15.
Any idea how to stop this? I’ve done a full scan with Avast and Malwarebytes but both are showing no threat found.
Thanks in advance. Getting sick of hearing that ding ding ding!!!

follow instructions and attach requested logs https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

: Keep Java Updated :

WARNING: Java is the #1 exploited program at this time. The Department of Homeland Security recommends that computer users disable Java
See this article

I would recommend that you completely uninstall Java unless you need it to run an important software.
In that instance I would recommend that you disable Java in your browsers until you need it for that software and then enable it. (See How to diasble Java in your web browser and How to unplug Java from the browser)

If you do need to keep Java then download JavaRa
Run the programme and select Remove Java Runtime. Uninstall all versions of Java present
Once done then run it again and select Update Java runtime > Download and install Latest version

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean

Unchecky

Click on the link above to be taken to Unchecky.com
click the very large Download button.
click Save
Click Open folder
Right click on the Unchecky_setup and choose to Run as Administrator
Once open click the Install button.
Then click on Finish
Unchecky is now installed and will help you keep unwanted check boxes unchecked, this is a fire and forget programme

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

My PC just completely froze whilst making a very loud buzzing sound through the speakers. Couldn’t get it to do anything. Had to hold the power button to restart it. Linked to your advice, do you think?

Haven’t removed your bits yet so I’ll try that now.

Hmm sounds not to hot. Did the computer reboot OK ? Has the noise recurred

I’ve just done the first of your removal tasks using DelFix. Couldn’t do the JavaRa as my .NET Framework has issues.
The freezing/noise hasn’t happened again, hoping it’s just an isolated incident.

Basically I was just browsing the web (Chrome) and had iTunes running. Usually I have more than that going at one time. It was all going fine until suddenly BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ and the PC wouldn’t allow me to do anything but switch it off on the tower itself. Weird.

Hmm intriguing

Let me know if it happens again

Will do. Thanks for your ongoing help and support, you’re the best. I’m clueless with this sort of thing.
