Threat Secured - Google Groups Digest Message

I Yahoo Group I’ve participated in for years is experimenting with Google Groups. The latest digest I got resulted in a ‘Threat Secured’ warning. A quick scan revealed no viruses, etc., but the pop-up persists making it hard to read the message.

I tried to post a snip of the warning but it does not show up in the preview, so I doubt it took.

This forum’s upload process is a new one to me. I clicked on Attach below and browsed to the the file and clicked on open. The image file shows in the window next to “Browse” but nothing seems to happen to attach the image.

thanks

I posted and I see the image, but I did not when I previewed the message. Is this a ‘feature’ of the Forum software?

I am running Win7/Pro x64 and browsing with:

User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 SeaMonkey/2.49.1
Build identifier: 20171016030418

URL:Mal = Blacklisted URL or IP

Do I need to start looking for another AV program?

John

Hello,

It appears that some security software is reporting a bogus error when accessing the Groups.io site. We have contacted Norton, Avast and Microsoft, telling them that they are wrong, and we hope they will fix their errors soon. To the best of our knowledge, the groups.io site is safe and nothing has changed.

Thanks,
Mark

I now see that my impaired vision led me down yet another byway. I thought my group had migrated from Yahoo to Google, but the migration was to “groups.io

The problem is not with a Google Groups Digest Message but with messages from

Mark Fletcher’s “groups.io” website.

Hello Avast. Is there a way to allow me to read digests from ‘groups.io’ or do you find it ‘too unsafe for users to access?’

I apologize for the confusion I created.

Hello,
groups.io was unblocked on 24th Feb.

Thank you, Milos, for the clarification and prompt action.
