Hmm the log looks OK, now I had something similar happen to me about a month ago. Where the wireless signal dropped and failed to recover unless I rebooted the router. It turned out the wireless card within the router was broken so I had it replaced .
As the Ethernet works I would tend to suspect something similar for you… Unless other computers using the router are not experiencing that problem
What is the wireless card on the computer as I will see if this is a known problem
It only seems to have a problem with this laptop. For instance, if this laptop is switched off/or the wireless is off, my brother’s laptop would connect to the wireless perfectly fine. As soon as I turn the wireless on, on this laptop, the wireless would go down for my brother’s laptop…hence…the wireless would not connect to neither laptops, ps3, iphone etc. I would then have to turn this laptop off…i would jus switch the modem on and off, and within a couple of minutes, my brother’s laptop would connect to the wireless again.
How do I find out what the wireless card on this laptop is??
I installed the driver…restarted the laptop…and it had no affect…i don’t think there was any change according to the version verification ( see attachment)
correct me if i’m going mad, but the driver version 2007.1.1002.2009 from the website link you gave me (from the version verification section) is obviously not the same as the driver version that i have at the moment 2020.7.907.2011
BUT to me it looks like the numbers have just been re-arranged…could this be a fault…or is the driver version currently installed legit…so to speak
Go to control panel > device manager
Open the network adapters
Right click the wireless adapter
Select properties
Select driver
Select Update driver
allow it to update if one is found
ok, so i went to the driver to update, and came across the first scenario…see the 1st attachment…i’ve never seen it there before
i tried to update…and windows said it was up to date…see the 2nd attachment
