Just found out Threatfire was interfering with Adaware 2008 scanning. Had to suspend Threatfire to complete the scan. This proactive AV tool may interfere with other applications like your browser (start-up). :
Personally I would also get rid of adaware 2008 as it really isn’t in the premier league or anti-spyware applications any more. Especially since you have more anti-spyware applications than you can shake a stick at.
There is such a thing of getting too much of a good thing.
One resident anti-spyware (AS) and a back-up on demand AS or perhaps two should be adequate, you have multiple resident AS applications plus back-ups.
Well… as I can see you love to have a lot of security software installed ;D
Like David said, I’ll drop Ad-aware due to its low detection rate.
