Today I have made a clean installation of Avast 8 Free and now my mail client Mozilla Thunderbird can’t check mail on my two Gmail accounts - “Server “pop.googlemail.com” responded:”. At the same time I have no problems with my account on Mail.ru. When I had previous versions of Avast there were no such errors. What should I do?

Though I have solved my problem, I have one more question. Should I now restore SSL for my Mail.ru account as I did it for Gmail?
I think so.
Although there’s no hint in the changelog (as always…), it seems like Avast is now able to scan mails also when SSL security is enabled in the mail client.

I decided not to touch my Mail.ru account’s settings for now. Let it be as it is now.
this Problem has not only thunderbird! also windows live is affected …
