Time to say goodbye

Today I am going to a hostice and unless miracles really do exist, it is the end of the line for me.
A exact time is impossible to tell ofcourse, but it will most likely be between 1 and 5 months before I am dead.
I can make this a very long story, but I will not do so.
Though luck for all who like a good read ;D

Eddie, I’m sure that you didn’t make your decision lightly. My prayers are with you.

I’m sure that there is a certain peace in having reached such a decision. In 2010 my mother-in-law, in 2016 my brother-in-law, and then in July my good friend and neighbor did the same. Their last days passed with a tranquility that still amazes me even though I can understand their reasoning. Do your best to enjoy your remaining time.

Hi Eddy,

For certain we all have to face this journey, some very much sooner than they should. It is how we face it that makes the difference and that is generally shown in how we deal with difficulty/danger in life. I have no doubt you will face it bravely as in life “Watching (over?) you”.

Out of the dark into the light, just like parachuting, out of the dark of the aircraft into the light of the door.

As Mason I was taught to enjoy life to the fullest, love and freedom as much as you can with your family who loves you so much, your closest friends around you too and also here on the Avast forum who is also close to you.

Don’t let fear get you towards the end of your journey, because is perfectly natural Eddy just focus on enjoying life to the fullest as much as you can.

The best advice I can pass along is to always think positive and leave the final decision in the Lords hands.
Please follow that advice even if you don’t agree.
(It certainly will not make matters any worse.)
