i’m french and i use avast. since today i receive a warning message " virus suspected" with many e mail adresses inside. This kind of pop up appear many times and another message appear with " timeout connexion has expired"…And a new icon appears on my toolbar ; it looks like à blue hat with a letter box on the right top of it.
I’m looking for what kind of virus it could be and if someone can help me…

It’s ok, nothing to worry and everything is configurable.
Which are your email program?
If it is Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc., you could configure the Internet Mail Provider:
- If an icon will appear on the system tray (Advanced tab of settings).
- The Heuristic tabs of settings: click on Customize button and check the items you want to be warned (suspicious message).
- On the Advanced tab you can configure (growing up) the timeout for the conection.
If you use MS Outlook, use the avast! plugin for Outlook.
