tinypic.com will not load!!!

Hello,

I can not get tinypic.com or any pictures in forums hosted at tinypic.com to load.

And I can not figue out what is causing the issue.

Could Avast be causiong the problem?

I did disable Avast but tinypic.com still will not load.

I even intsalled Windows from a Image I has and I still can not load tinypic.com.

Can any one help?

I am running Windows 7 64 Bit and Avast 5.1.889

My ISP is Comcast

Just to add to this topic

tinypic.com is the only web site that will not load on my computer!!

Every other web site load without issues.

Please go to PROFILE then Modify Profile then Forum Profile Information then select your country in Please select your country: then update your Signature: with information like my signature as this helps the helpers offer pertinent advice then you will not have to keep entering Windows 7 64 Bit and Avast 5.1.889

No problem going to tinypic.com for me however all pics are saved elsewhere:

No problem accessing Tinypic for me either, following links from TVTropes. Several that I got sent to look as if they’re cut off at the bottom, but that may just be their standard for non-members like me.

Update!!!

Ok this is very strange!

I finally figrerd out why tinypic.com was not loading.

In both of my desktops computers I have a Intel Gigabit CT NIC card. And I have “Jumbo Packet” Enabled. I was using “9014Bytes” So just for the heck of it I disabled “Jumbo Packet” and right after doing that tinypic.com now loads up almost instantly.

As soon as I re enable “Jumbo Packet” tinypic.com will not load again.

This has been driving be insane trying to figure out what was causing tinypic.com not too load. And I am very happy I now know why

But now I have to figure out why enabling “Jumbo Packet” would cause tinypic.com not to load in the first place.

And also I am now wondering if I really even need to use “Jumbo Packet” option?

MTU on the internet is around 1500 bytes. The ‘jumbo packet’ will only do you any good on a LAN. I think the peer on the LAN would also have to support it for any benefit.
