TMP avast files cannot be deleted...

Loads of TMP files that cannot be deleted…any ideas please?

I use junk file remover on REVO Uninstaller.
Very large number of files ending in tmp are found.
When I press delete it says unable to due to admin permission required.

Avast protects its files, for obvious reasons with its self-defence module.

Also .tmp files may still be in use, but I don’t find any .tmp filed in my avast folder, certainly not the avBCC2B.tmp file.

Well there seems to be dozens covering 3 dates and only 3 dates. Might that have been when program was updated? 4/2/2016 …2/05/2016 and 1/6/2016.

I also use ccleaner. Personally I would suggest excluding all avast versions and entries from ccleaner scan and cleaning.

You just have to look at the ccleaners Application > Utilities listing, it appears that it doesn’t/can’t tell what version you have installed.

No change after amending Ccleaner…Not taking a large amount of space up so will live with the tmp files…thanks.

Disable the avast self defense, try to delete the files and enable the the self defense again.
