I just want to thank you for your help yesterday I know u say not to worry but the black box is still black in (Software Announcements) it hasn’t still turn green. I try to refresh the page and clear my cookies etc but nothing happen still. Plus I have one another problem I use Windows 2000 and sometimes when I Shut Down it comes up and says " memory can’t be read" what dose that mean. Or maybe I should not worry. Has a older person on computer I don’t what to do plus I am afraid when I see things. Sorry in being a pain to u in asking these questions. But when u explain it I understand it a little better thanks again.

can you open a DOS window or Start > Run
C:\Windows\system32\ipconfig.exe /flushdns
After that, can you go to forum.avast.com and login?

“Memory can’t be read” is not a good message… something is in conflic in RAM memory. Which application is having this error message? Avast?

Lava, it will be green only when a new post is added there.
For me, after opening all threads there, it’s black.
Like I said, it will remain black until the Moderators (the only ones who can post there) do something there

If you see the “locked” icon in the left margin, the topic icon will remain black because noone can add to it.
As Technical stated, “green icon” only shows after someone has posted to the topic.
You can try this yourself by leaving a popular topic such as Off Topic or General today, and checking it later on or tomorrow.
As for the memory problem, do you get this error after using a particular program?
