I did a boot scan with Avast! and stopped durring the middle of it. And when I id a regular checkup with avast it said This file was supposed to be dealted durring the boot scan is this bad? Can it not be deleated now?
Don’t know, you haven’t given us any information to say!
When you say avast! said, please include the full error/warning message that avast gave.
- What OS are you using? is it up to date?
- What avast! version and VPS file (virus database) number, e.g. 0436-4 (see about avast!)
- What was the virus name, what was the filename, where was it found
example (C:\windows\system32\infected-filename.xxx)? - What actions have you taken to try and resolve the problem?
You could always schedule a boot-time scan again and let it finish its work this time.
It is a Trojan-gen could this be a false alarm? I have heard on this forum about that one being a no need to worry false alarm and my Avast! is 4.6
Please read my post again and answer the questions, we can’t possibly say based on the lack of information.
I have done scans with Avast and a boot scan. What is an OS?
are you using windows xp, windows 98, windows 2000 etc?
Windows XP
Just putting them in the chest helped! ;D
The reason we ask questions it to be able to help fully if you don’t answer how can we help.
