We’ve decided to stop using Avast antivirus. We found that Avast creates too many popups, like ads on websites. After buying it for a year, it kept showing many
warnings and asking us to pay more for extra features.
The popups were very annoying and kept appearing one after another, especially when we were busy. They would take over the screen and interrupt our work. About a month later, Avast asked us to pay again for more features, showing 4-5 popups every day. When our subscription was about to end, the popups increased and kept saying, “You’re not protected, renew now.” :
This was very frustrating and unprofessional. As the expiration date got closer, the popups became more frequent. Even though we’re now using the free version, we still get many popups asking us to renew. Tonight, we’re removing Avast and looking for other options.
Menu > Settings > Personal Privacy
Make sure your settings are the same as shown in the image posted.
The only checked item on that display should be the first item. Uncheck everything else.
