I am so sorry I ever got involved with Avast. I keep getting notifications right in the middle of my screen to upgrade my subscription and pay more money. It’s like extortion. I only joined them in hopes of getting rid of their pop-ups, I already had Norton. This seems like more of a scam than protection…

I have same problem. Every time my screen goes out of sleep mode, Avast is running on the screen. It also messed with a search I was doing as I was scrolling through the results, Avast popped up, covering my search so I lost where I was in my scroll, wasting my time. It’s not the first time in history that Avast starts acting like the malware we try to keep out. It’s like Silent Mode is completely ignored. Any good alternatives to Avast?
