Hello SATi
One question: Was it Home or Pro version? ???
EDIT: cause if it’s a Home version, there’s a speciall option on Avast registration page: see a picture below:
EDTT2: or ih it’s a Pro version please look in here: http://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=30
Take care
We are resellers.
And it’s pro version. But it’s not a unique situation.
There are situations when it’s no chance to find key in emails. And then it’s problem to gain client’s key. Contacting alwil every time when such problem acures is not solution, as we have to work quickly. :-\
So, do you have (and would like to share) such tool?
Vytas
Unfortunately no, I don’t have it I use the Home version.
For Home version, on the registration page you’ll have this option: retrieve lost key.
http://www.avast.com/eng/home-license-resend.php?lang=ENG
For Professional version, you need to send an email to support@avast.com and ask the key giving your personal data.
There isn’t an option to retrieve full key from the hard disk.
Having the registration key easily retrievable would make the key easy to obtained by malicious programs/spyware.
