Tools not activated

I have today upgraded to Avast Antivirus Pro and activated it but all the items under tools give the message “Sorry the process … will be activated on rebooting the system.” I have rebooted my system three times but still get the same answer. How does one activate the tools?

avast repair

contolpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > Uninstall/change > repair option … wait a minute and reboot

Unfortunately that process did not help. Still asks me to reboot - now 4 reboots!

As you did an upgrade it may be advisable to do a clean install

First ensure your licence is safe and accessible

Download Avast Uninstall Utility to your Desktop.
Download the correct version of Avast
Avast Free
Avast Pro
Avast Internet Security
Avast Premier
Disconnect from the net
Uninstall Avast via control panel

[]Run the uninstall tool and accept the reboot to safe mode
[]Once complete reboot your system
[*]Reinstall Avast
