I’ve already posted in the portuguese side, but since i don’t know if it’s a translation problem or a program problem, i’ll post here as well.
Keep in mind that my Avast is in Portuguese. When opening avast 2014 free, in the left side there’s an option named SETTINGS. Inside it’s another option named “Tools”. There’s nothing there, no options, no text, nothing. Only a “Tools” in blue (in my case “Ferramentas” in blue).
Ps: I Have Browser Cleaner and Rescue Disk installed.
I have only Software Updater under Tools.
Initially try a repair to cure this problem. If that fails then do a clean install

Download the correct version of Avast
Avast Free
Avast Pro
Avast Internet Security
Avast Premier
Disconnect from the net
Uninstall Avast via control panel

[]It will offer to reboot to safe mode

[*]Press Uninstall
[*]Once complete reboot your system to Normal Mode

Thanks essexboy, but already done that 2 times. I don’t have software updater installed (by my choice) but i have Browser Cleaner and Rescue Disk.
Another user, abruptum, only has software updater listed under the Tools settings.
Is the tools settings only destined to software updater? If it is, then everything’s good.
This is my screen, it is Premier and most of those are not on the free version but I have Software Updater enabled and it is showing.
I don’t have anything under Tools either. I have avast on two PCs and both of them don’t have anything there.
I think it may be because you’re using the free version you won’t see anything. Check here (scroll about 2/3 down)
