windows10でAvastを使用しているのですが、先日からウイルス定義が古くなっていますという警告が出ており、
定義を更新しようとしているのですが、「ホストに到達できません」というエラーが出て更新ができません。
プログラムのバージョンは 18.7.2354（build18.7.4041.0）、
ウイルス定義のバージョンは 181008‐6 です。
再インストールなども試してみたのですが、同じエラーが出ております。
お恥ずかしながらPCの設定等には明るくなく、手も足も出ない状況です。
何か対応方法をご存知の方がいらっしゃいましたらご教示いただければと思います。

Avast 以外にセキュリティソフトはお使いでしょうか？
「ホストに到達できません」のエラーの場合、DNS 周りの問題である場合があるので、以下のページ等を参照してDNS を汎用のものに切り替えてみてください。

また、問題が解消しない場合は、以下のパスにある「Update.log」の最後の方を載せてください。
C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Persistent Data\Avast\Logs

Avast以外は使用しておりません。
案内いただいたDNS設定も試してみたのですがうまくいきませんでした。
最後の方というのがどのあたりまで載せればいいかわからないのですが、
